The Constitution and Judicial Decision-Making

With civics education funds provided by the North Dakota Center for Distance Education and in collaboration with the North Dakota Supreme Court, Justice Mary Maring hosts a two-day workshop, “The Constitution and Judicial Decision-Making.” The workshop includes presentations from the Chief Justice, other associate justices, and Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem.
In 2006 and 2007, North Dakota social studies teachers were selected to attend the institute where they were provided an intense study of the state and federal judicial system.
Teachers chosen to attend the two-day workshop have the opportunity to earn one credit of continuing education through the University of North Dakota.
Evaluations from teachers who attended both the 2006 and 2007 Institutes indicate that participants were highly pleased and impressed with the program and information presented.
