North Dakota Studies seeks to promote the teaching and learning about the geography, history, government, current issues, and citizenship of North Dakota. This North Dakota Studies web site is intended to provide a host of resources for use by students, teachers, and the general public and is a collaborative effort of the North Dakota Center for Distance Education (ND CDE), the North Dakota Humanities Council, and Prairie Public Television.
The North Dakota Studies Project is a division of the North Dakota Center for Distance Education and was first authorized by the 2005 North Dakota Legislative Assembly. In addition to this web site, the North Dakota Center for Distance Education produces, publishes, and distributes print-based North Dakota Studies curriculum for grades 4, 8, and high school.
