Prairie Musicians: Jessie Veeder with Lonesome Willy - Boomtown

According to the songwriter Jessie Veeder, “Boomtown” is a collection of snapshots about those people who now make up her small, vastly changed hometown of Watford City.

Raised in Watford City, ND, Jessie Veeder began writing songs at the age of twelve. In the beginning her songs were about her connection to the land, but as the faces in western North Dakota began to change with the oil boom so have the landscape and the communities.
