Slide Shows
Using the site http://cct2.edc.org/PMA/prairie/steps.html, have students create a Lantern Slide Show by choosing five authentic photos that best depict pioneer life from the viewpoint of a land speculator, journalist, or prairie mother. Write captions for the photographs. Each caption should explain to the audience what is going on in the photo and how it supports the student’s view of prairie life. Print the slide show and share it with other students.
