Timelines
- Have students (individually, pairs, or small groups) write a significant event on an index card relating to the Early Settlement of North Dakota. Have them create a visual timeline by having them take turns placing the cards in the correct sequential order. Students creating the timeline should create an answer sheet to check for understanding by the students participating.
- Extension: Have students illustrate each significant event in addition to writing it.
