Unit 2 focuses on the archeological record and oral traditions of the earliest people to live in this area. Though this is considered to be a pre-historic era because of the lack of written records, the foundations of modern life were present. It is a story of families, communities, and inter-cultural economic exchange as complex as any we know today.
