as a scout and interpreter for
several years.
Ella Waddell
Ella Waddell married Fred Gerard
in 1879. She was the mother of four
of Gerard’s seven children.
Frederic Curtis Gerard
Frederic Curtis Gerard shared his
father’s and half-brother’s first name. 
His suitindicates that his family lived
a middle-class lifestyle.
Birdie Gerard
Birdie was the second child of
Ella and Fred Gerard.
Charles Gerard
Charles was the third child of
Ella and Fred Gerard.
Flossie Gerard
