Records do not indicate whether these photographs of snow piling up and blowing around the barracks were taken by Toyojiro Suzuki, but he does mention in his diary that he went out one day to take photographs.  He was both fascinated and horrified by the snow and cold of the northern plains, a climate that he had not experienced before his internment.
