    Educational opportunities include:

    1. Suitcase Exhibits for North Dakota (SEND Trunks) are available at a nominal fee by calling the Museum and Education Division at (701) 328-2794 or logging on to the site below. These trunks may be picked up or shipped.
    2. Traveling Exhibits are also available for schools for just the cost of shipping. Visit the site below or call the Museum and Education at (701) 328-2799.
    3. Paleontology Field Trip—available for class tours every third Tuesday at the Heritage Center. Contact Dr. John Hoganson, Paleontologist, North Dakota Geological Survey at the site below, call (701) 328-8000, or E-mail (E-mail address below) in advance to make an appointment for your class to visit and experience prehistoric fossils.
      NOTE: a 2’ x 3’ poster of Prehistoric Life in North Dakota is available for a small fee through the North Dakota Geological Survey at the site listed in this section.
    4. In-Service Teacher Training—opportunities for in-service workshops. For more information, contact the Museum and Education Division at (701) 328-2792.
    5. There are many additional educational resources (videos, CDs, DVDs, books, etc.) available to educators through the State Historical Society of North Dakota of which the North Dakota Heritage Center is a part.
    6. Heritage Center visits with your class. Reservations are required at least two weeks in advance by calling the Visitor Services Coordinator at (701) 328-2674 or email the person listed below. One chaperone per 10 students is highly recommended.
